Marc van der Aa (Hulst, the Netherlands) started taking pictures at the age of 16. After graduating as a writing journalist in the Netherlands, Marc left for Buenos Aires to study photography. His work has been published in various magazines and books and he photographed projects for brands such as Nike, Facebook and Spotify. He organized several solo expositions in Argentina, the Netherlands, and Mexico. After moving to Mexico City in 2012, Marc started working in the music industry, collaborating with artists and events such as Tomorrowland and Lollapalooza. In 2014, he was asked to become a partner of Alive Coverage. As a senior staff photographer and VP of international relations, he works worldwide managing photo and video teams for a large variety of clients, covering commercial projects, music, and sports events. Marc moved to San Miguel de Allende with his wife and son in 2017, where he has been inspired by Mexican history and culture to document various projects.
